Zain – 151, Armando (1988)
Billie – Basic Instinct, Paul Verhoeven (1992)
I watched Basic Instinct because i was listening to I’m In It and realized i had never seen a Michael Douglas movie. I watched Fatal Attraction after this. You would think he was a sex symbol... Sharon Stone was absolutely gorgeous in this. They don’t make erotic thrillers like this anymore. Itching to rewatch Wild Things next.
Billie – Dangerous, Michael Jackson (1991)
Maybe the best MJ album. I love that it’s darker and more experimental. The cover is so creepy, probably meant to reflect a lot of hidden or subconscious or systemic stuff, but i absolutely do not have the knowledge to unpack what any of it means. She Drives Me Wild, Who Is It, and In The Closet are some of my favorite MJ songs.
Who Is It video, dir. David Fincher:
Dangerous teaser dir. David Lynch:
In The Closet vid dir. Herb Ritter. Unbelievably campy, low budget looking video, kind of Lynchian and reminds me of Wild at Heart
Billie – Hard, FKA Twigs (2025)
Easily my favorite track from Afterglow
Billie – In Too Deep, Michael Rymer (1999)
I loved this, but the dramatic irony made me tweak. Movies like this and She's the Man actually make me have like pseudo panic attacks because the dramatic irony kills me
Zain – Lonely, Speaker Knockerz (2013)
Billie – Kaleidoscope Dream, Miguel (2012)
Very nostalgic album. Miguel and Abel’s stuff from the early 2010s is what got me into r&b.
Billie – LA Confidential, Curtis Hanson (1997)
Off the record, on the QT, and very hush hush…
Billie – What the Game’s Been Missing, Juelz Santana (2005)
The game is now completely missing...
